“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jennifer Aydin threw a drink at Joe Gorga during BravoCon 2022 on Saturday.
As seen in a video shared via social media, Aydin, 45, tossed a full beverage at Gorga, 48, in the lobby of the Gansevoort Meatpacking hotel in New York City. Aydin was also heard calling Gorga “Popeye.”
Multiple security guards stepped in to prevent the incident from escalating further. Still, that didn’t stop Aydin — a staunch supporter of Gorga’s sister, Teresa Giudice, throughout their time together on “RHONJ” — from lobbing her empty plastic cup at Gorga.
The altercation came after “Real Housewives” honcho Andy Cohen confirmed that BravoCon’s “RHONJ” panels were split into two parts this weekend because of Giudice’s feud with Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga.
“They’re really not in a good place, as you might have gathered,” Cohen, 54, told attendees on Sunday during the “Ask Andy” portion of the three-day convention at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
The “Watch What Happens Live” host explained that the network wanted to keep the cast separated as not to spoil too much of the show’s forthcoming installment.
Season 13 ended in explosive fashion this summer when Giudice brought up unfounded claims that Melissa, 43, cheated on Joe with actor Nick Barrotta. The couple — who have vehemently denied the allegations — subsequently skipped Giudice’s August wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
“We’re on the precipice for a really great season of ‘New Jersey’ airing, so we’re in a really limbo-y place where if we bring them all out together, they’re in a different place than they were the last time we saw them all as a group,” Cohen told fans.
“I think it’s better to let the show live on air and let you guys see the show and pick up with everyone at the next reunion show,” he continued. “It’s a balancing act because you want things to play out on TV, but here we are, and I want to give everyone a good time, so it’s a little bit of a juggling act.”
Saturday’s first “RHONJ” panel at BravoCon featured the Gorgas, Margaret Josephs and her husband, Joe Benigno, and Jackie Goldschneider and her husband, Evan Goldschneider.
Giudice and Ruelas, 47, as well as Jennifer Aydin and her husband, Dr. Bill Aydin, and Dolores Catania and her ex-husband, Frank Catania, participated in the second panel.
Before the panels, Jennifer’s spouse, Bill, told Page Six exclusively that “it’s definitely not Kumbaya at the moment” among the group due to the discord between Giudice and the Gorgas.
“We’re trying to be supportive and we’re trying not to pick sides. But obviously Jen is more emotional. I’m trying to be the more calm and reasonable person,” the plastic surgeon said on Friday.
“Obviously, Jen has been Team Teresa all along. I’m not saying I’m not Team Teresa, but I see the family dynamics.”
During his panel, an impassioned Joe Gorga said that he felt Giudice never wanted him and Melissa to join the long-running reality series.
Meanwhile, Giudice blamed her family’s fractured dynamic on “fame and money.”
